World Day of Prayer

I’m sure we were all shocked and horrified at the events of October 7th. It was, and is still, hard to comprehend how humans can act like these ones did. Have you also found it hard to comprehend how normal, average, intelligent people can use this event to call for the annihilation of the nation of Israel and the Jewish people?

Shockingly we are told that in some/most churches there are more supporting the palestinians         (my choice to use lower case) than Israel. HFINZ have run 2 meetings where Dr. Simon Smelt and others have made sure the ‘church’ knows the facts. God’s word should be the last word on Israel. How is it possible to read the Bible and not understand the spiritual battle that is going on?

So what should we make of the recent ‘World Day of Prayer’?  This is under the auspices of the World Council of Churches and this entity certainly showed its true nature with this year’s antisemitic ‘service’!  Here in levin we were faced with a glaring headline in the local paper that the prayer day was to focus on ‘Palestine’ rather than Palestinian Christian Women, followed by a secondary headline that was untrue. Consequently, Pastor Ken from the hosting church, had the decision of whether to cancel the meeting or turn it to good. The service was re written and Ps Ken made sure in his opening statement that the church did not agree with the statements made in either the Chronicle or the service outline as supplied.  Interestingly only 3 people walked out because it didn’t follow the format.  So, did it have the effect of turning an evil situation to good?  I suppose this will be revealed in the days ahead. Only the Holy Spirit can work on the hearts of believers.  Hopefully pastors and ministers here in levin ( and in your church ) will have woken up to the anti-Christ spirit in the World Council of Churches.

Here in Levin we enjoy a fortnightly prayer meeting together with quite a few churches participating with many of the folk taking up the commitment to pray for a selected one of the hostages, making a very personal connection. Every one of the 240plus hostages was ‘adopted’

That the IDF will find the 134 hostages so no compromising ‘deal’ will have to be considered.

That the plans of Muslims for violence in Israel during Ramadan will be totally thwarted.

The IDF will be able to deal decisively with terrorists in Judea, Samaria and the rest of Gaza.

The IDF will be able to deal decisively with Hamas, Hezbollah & other Iranian proxies in Lebanon.

AND THAT ADONAI WILL GET ALL THE GLORY FOR ANSWERED PRAYER.
