Light / Dark, Good / Evil

“Send me your blog and I’ll get the newsletter sent off this evening”!
Goodness, I haven’t done it yet Linda! So here I am now sitting at the computer having had my lunch and taken my usual hourly ‘rest’ by watching YouTube. Except today has been different, I didn’t really want to watch the Bibas family funeral or listen to Yarden’s heartbreaking ‘talk’ to his beloved family. They had become part of my family too in a way. I have photos of them, have prayed for their safety as many of you have done. I knew I’d cry, but then it tells me I have a heart, I have empathy, I weep for the agony of Yarden and the other families who have lost loved ones murdered by Hamas. And there are the other families who desperately hope that the return of their beloved one will not be returned as a victim of murder.
The atrocities and cruelty of Hamas and other Gazans should never be forgotten. The ruse to try and get Israel to hold a funeral for a woman not Shiri, the cheering of Palestinian children as they watched the black coffins of Ariel and Kfir pass by and the final act of sending locked coffins with a key that didn’t fit are a message that cruelty is their character.
And what about the Australian Sky News host Sharri I had watched a half an hour before. Her controlled anger as she described and showed social media clips from Australians who had travelled to Lebanon to attend the funeral of Nasralla, the Hezbollah leader responsible for thousands of deaths. The leader of a declared terrorist organisation. An organisation that it is illegal to take part in or attend activities of etc etc in Australia - and without checking – New Zealand too.
Light and dark, good and evil, the preciousness and reverence for life contrasts with the cult of death. Can the difference be more obvious! Certainly It concerns me that NZers may have travelled to Lebanon, but I am sure that you and I are so grateful to our Lord and Saviour Yeshua/Jesus. Let us love, do good, and stand for truth.
Worshiping with you the giver and sustainer of life. The one who holds the Jewish people as the Apple of His Eye. The one who has promised to never leave or forsake us. The one whose promises are sure.
Jan.
