Who We Are

Our group was commenced in 2015 with the name of Horowhenua Israel Support Group after three people shared their concerns that Israel not only received unfair and misleading attention but also went unrecognised by the church as a whole.  We wanted to connect with those of a like mind and the three people on the original group were quickly joined by others.

In 2018 the name of the group was changed to Heart for Israel NZ and following a short recess in 2022, the group has now reactivated with a renewed passion to fulfil its purpose and vision. At this time the working group is made up of:

• Jan Wade (founding member and current chair) A born-again Gentile believer who came to a new understanding of Israel’s role in Christianity and the world after a trip to Israel as a tour hostess. 

• Linda Hancox a born-again Gentile believer who has received a revelation of Israel’s role and joined us in 2017.

• Colleen Marshall – a born-again Gentile believer with a heart for Israel, who has recently joined the group.
