Delusional – the best word we can use to describe quite a few events that have happened as recently as this week. The sight of Hezbollah rejoicing ecstatically declaring their victory as they race back to southern Lebanon only to be turned back at gunpoint by IDF. They are obviously unaware that Hezbollah have lost (not only fingers & sight because of exploding pagers!) but also all their top leaders in the military chain of command including 8 from their aerial unit plus numerous other leaders – not to mention Nasrallah! All access from outside of Lebanon for ammunitions have been blocked, and an estimated 80% of missiles, rockets etc etc. destroyed. Just as delusional are those who believe the ceasefire will hold! However, there will be some IDF families who will be pleased to get their husbands and dads home for a short while.

Let’s pray this short break will mean more effort can be invested into getting the hostages found.

Crazy ruling from the International Court of Justice who have forgotten they are only a supportive court – they cannot impose their rulings over individual countries rulings. I think I’ve got that right, anyway they appear to have broken more than one of their own guidelines according to some international law experts. At least France least recognises that.

Here at home finally, NZ has ruled that Hezbollah, and the Houthis are terrorist organisations. It took until Feb of this year for NZ to recognise Hamas in all its entirety also.

Did you notice any Palestinian flags in the Hikoi? The media was very efficient at not showing them. However, they were there. Can someone inform Māori that it’s not really cool to support the persecutors of the indigenous people of Israel! Also, not ‘cool’ is to see at least 6 members of the green party wearing a Kaffir during the maiden speech of the latest member of the Greens in parliament. Less said the better about Mr binary Benjamin Doyle who found it necessary to bring an assortment of books, bags and a Palestinian Kaffir over his arm on his first day in parliament.

Is there any good news? Well yes, after about 1,000 Greek orthodox and Roman Catholic Christians in Gaza at the end of last year and 700-800 managing to leave. The number of Evangelicals and ex Muslim believers are growing. So, although there are only about 260 ‘above ground’ Christians there is a slowly growing underground church.

Our next newsletter will be in the first week of February. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy a safe and happy time with friends and family over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Praying with you for:

For a peaceful break for the towns and cities of Northern Israel from Hezbollah’s missiles.

Godly wisdom for the Israeli government and

A successful release of the hostages.
