The hypocrisy continues! One minutes silence at the UN out of respect
for the death of one of the worlds most evil men. Known as ‘The
Butcher of Tehran’ the world shuddered when he was elected
(appointed?) as the president of Iran. A very short memory! The
consequences for him and the others with him will be very different to
the 72 virgins expected.
The International Criminal Court is another to be condemned for
Hypocrisy. Other leaders equally guilty of such crimes against humanity
as Raisi have been ignored while Israel’s leaders are equated equally
with Hamas.
While world leaders’ attitudes get media support, we need to be keeping
an eye on what is happening in NZ. Christchurch University of
Canterbury has reported a ‘peaceful ‘ pro Palestinian rally. Here at
Massey in Palmerston North all is peaceful. Let’s pray it keeps that way.
Obviously an intelligent lot there!
Yesterday I spent time with a relative I hadn’t seen for years. Like me,
the only reason she is on Facebook is to sell things on the market place.
To her surprise yesterday my name popped up as a potential ‘friend.’
Huge co-incidence after all these years …. or not! We came to the
conclusion that somehow it was connected to the fact that over the last
couple of days we had emailed each other. In sharing our experiences
with ad’s popping up on our phones after shopping, You Tube ‘listening’
to us etc. I realised just the danger for our young ones who probably
accept all this as just being ‘normal.’ Educating our young ones is so
important and listening to them is just as important so that we can be
educated too! I have to admit that I am an ’oldie’! It is the young ones
who pick up what is happening on social media. Last Sunday my
grandson, 18yrs old, was educating me on the dangers of AI. How
grateful I am to Adonai that He has His protective hand on our beloved
families. So my prayer encouragement this month is for us to pray for
our youth – along with Israel of course !!!!
Praying with you,
Jan
